On the 15th July 2016, PORTABOOM® became the first product to receive a full certificate issued by Transport Infrastructure Product Evaluation Scheme (TIPES). PORTABOOM® is nationally approved by the Australian Road Research Board (ARRB) for use on all federal, state and local roads in Australia. ARRB made the following comments about PORTABOOM®:
"The device is used at roadworks in lieu of ‘STOP/SLOW’ bats and allows traffic control staff to be located remotely from live traffic flow, affording significant safety benefits. ARRB’s Paul Hillier and David McTiernan led the review panel, comprising of experienced road agency professionals, who were encouraged by PORTABOOM's® obvious potential to be a common sight at roadworks in the near future."
